How Long Is The Britax Roundabout Car Seat Good For?

This is a very common question that is asked all of the time. I’ll make this short, sweet and to the point.

The Britax Roundabout is for children who weigh up to 40 pounds and are less than 40 inches tall. The Roundabout should not be used after six years from its manufacture date, which will be printed on the seat. If the car seat is in a vehicle during a severe crash, the seat should be retired.

Here is directions straight from the Britax Roundabout user manual:

Use only with children who weigh between 5 and 40 pounds (2.3 and
18.1 kg.) and whose height is 40 inches (101.6 cm.) or less.

Rear Facing:
For children 5 – 35 pounds (2.3 –15.9 kg.)

Forward-facing
20 – 40 pounds (9.1 – 18.1 kg.).
