Only a handful of negative Cosco Scenera reviews have been posted for this product (25 out of 166), but common concerns expressed include the lack of padding, which makes long trips uncomfortable for infants. As well, consumers complained about the difficulty of installation, and the near-impossibility of achieving a “tight” fit in the car’s back or front seat. The plastic is thin, said one reviewer, and felt cheap.
An airline traveler took his infant on a trip, only to realize that the seat was completely unable to fit an airline seat in the rear facing position, unless one were flying first class or placing the baby in danger (and acting illegally) by setting the seat in an exit row. One complainant solved the tight fit in his car by a judicious use of towels, but noted that a customer should not have to remedy the deficiencies of the product he buys.
